MobiCam Digital DXR system Review : The MobiCam DXR is a monitoring system from Mobi. It’s not like your regular baby monitoring system. It’s a video monitoring system which mean you can not only hear but view your baby as well !

The best thing about this system is of course the fact it’s video. When your baby wakes up, you will hear him/her but you will also instantly SEE she/he is doing through the large 3.5″ high-resolution LCD display.
The picture quality is good. Not perfect but good enough to clearly see what’s going on in front of the camera. And don’t worry about dark/night because it also includes a powerful night vision !
And if you need more angles to monitor your baby, you can easily add as many as three additional cameras (sold separately for $99 each). You can then rotate through all four views in Auto Scan Mode, view all at once in Quad Mode, or stay on any one camera you choose.

Most of audio monitor systems only let you hear your baby. Have you ever wanted to talk back to your baby when you hear him/her ?
With the MobiCam DXR, you can do that too ! Thanks to the 2-way audio communication feature. You simply have to press/hold a button to speak to your baby ! Isn’t a great feature ?

The monitor has a built-in Lithium battery so you can use it with either only the battery (when fully charged) or the power cord. I’d recommend to use the power cord to make sure the monitor is always on and not miss anything.

To make sure you won’t miss anything, the MobiCam DXR also has a built-in recording capability which mean you’ll be able to capture precious moments on the fly.

Did I mention this system is wireless ? Well, yes, it is so no need to run cables in the wall and/or on the floor to connect the camera(s) to the monitor.
The system use a 2.4 GHz secure digital signal and the range is really good. I use the monitor in the basement and the camera is on the second floor and the image is still good.
[Note : Slide up the antenna. It helps a lot ! The signal will be more stable and better.]

On the down side, the MobiCam DXR does not offer the option to move the camera(s) remotely so you’ll have to place the camera(s) in the best angle to watch your baby and hope it will always be the best angle.

Due to all the great features included in the MobiCam DXR (video monitoring, 3,5″ LCD display, night vision, 2-way audio communication, built-in recording capability, etc…), I can only recommend this system !
