62yrold female from Louisiana now living in South Dakota trying to introduce our style of food here because its hard to find. This would be my dream come true . Need the money to secure a place and get equipment to cook some of our delicious Southern meals . RRay I look at you everyday and sooo enjoy you as a person as well as a cook. If I don’t win I will still pursue my dream. I’ve had a fear of failure, that along with limited finances have kept me from accomplishing it. I had a son, Greg who passed last year, who use to help me plan and use to encourage me on a daily basis. I can hear him now still brainstorming ideas about the business. The thing I’m hearing him say most today is Moma, you can do ti. Don’t stop!!!!n I never learn to cook as a child because I was raised in an extended family and all of the women(3) in the house cooked. Got spankings for even being near the stove. Now its one of my favorite things in the world to do!!!. I love being in the kitchen by myself(sometimes Greg is there) so therapeutic and enjoyable. When I first started cooking I was so green I didn’t even know potatoes came dirty I took them back to the store and the grocer laughed and told me to get another bag. I’ve been cooking GOOD now for about 10 yrs and loving every minute of it. I would love to have my own place and bring the EXCITING flavor of Louisiana to South Dakota.
