Eligibility : Open to children ages 6 through 13 who are legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
Promotion Period : Begins on June 14, 2011 at 12:00:01 a.m. Central Time (“CT”) and ends on July 25, 2011 at 11:59:59 p.m. CT

Limit : Limit one (1) Entry per person throughout the Contest Period.
Prize (s) :
Three (3) Contest Grand Prizes (one per age group): each a check payable in the amount of $1,000 to be used for school tuition, books, supplies, or school-related expenses.
One Thousand Two-Hundred Weekly First Prizes (200 prizes per Weekly Entry Period): each a Scholastic book (age appropriate). Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $10.00 each.
Winner List : For names of the Grand Prize winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Be A Reader Contest Winners List Request, 6240 Oakton Street, Morton Grove, IL 60053. Requests must be received by August 31, 2011.
