Love the show & the shield would look perfect hanging next to my double headed axe – not sure why a comment is a requirement to enter a sweepstakes though!

I’ve always been fascinated with the history of this planents different cultures, people my families history, my grandfather was a missionary over in India, he was from liver pool England and I have no stories of anything of what he was doing, how long he was there, it would be nice to know some of these things so the stories could be past on to the families, it would be great to have anything of history, I like collecting anything of military use through the Ages of time, I love history more than ever, I love watching the history Channel, now that I’m retired I watch the history Channel more than ever, I’m a welder by trade, I love watching Forged in Fire, I would love to do some Forging myself if I only had some were to do it, the history Channel ROCKS, thank you all for the history !!!

I also have seen Vikings from the beginning. Watched seasons over again. Love the characters and their roles within the series. It’s been so realistic too. An amazing show and it shows just how hard it must be to pull it off to be so real! I’ve enjoyed, and then some, every minute!

I am going on 71 and a disabled Vietnam war veteran. My son lives in the mountains of North Carolina and he forges knives and a fine battle axe. Maybe he will forge one for me if I win Bjorn’s shield. Bjorn has always reminded of my son, both are strong, kind and with good heart. His heart should swell because of the man he is.

Love the show hoping my luck will win. Sad to see the show is ending but have enjoyed it since season 1. Unfortunately it doesn’t say you need to leave a message to be able to win or enter to win Bjorn’s Shield.

I have always liked watching Vickings since day one. I loved watching Ragnar and Lagetha and the way they raised their children and also how they took in the monk. I have watched Bjorn grow into a great vicking and King. My son had named his dog a vickings name in which means dragon born and my husband and I named our dog Ragnar because of the strength and love he has for his us. I really wish that the show wasn’t going off and instead returning next season. If people would look up the names of the characters they will find out who they truly were. I believe that every women can be brave and strong like Lagetha was and stand up for what they believe in. So thank you History for putting this great show on so everyone could enjoy it.

Vikings is more than a show, it’s a way to relax and enjoy TV. I look forward to the next episode and at the same time dreading the end of the series. This show has made me research my Norseman ancestry and is a reminder of how tough and hardy they had to be to survive. I believe Vikings touch the viking in all of us as we struggle to succeed and be happy in life. Bjorn’s shield is a symbol of perseverance and facing your battles head on.

Vikings has been one of our very favorite shows. My husband and I have watched from day one and are very sad to see the show come to an end! The fact that it’s based on characters that actually lived is fascinating and provides a different level of allure not found in pure fiction. If the History Channel is seriously done with Vikings, then, at the very least, they should continue this storyline because we would definitely watch if they decided to do some type of spinoff.

Nothing is more satisfying than sitting in a history of the Middle East college class and being the only person to know who Rollo was and how he became Duke of Normandy because I have been watching Vikings since the series premiere.
