Ultimate Dental Health Makeover Contest

hello my name is Robyn and unfortunately i dont have a beautiful smile. I try to learn and live and get over the fact that i cant change my smile. But from the age of 11 and im now 19 i’ve constantly been picked on and it kind of puts me in a depression stage. Im not afraid to share my story simply because i need help. I cannot afford to do this myself, i just wish i could be comfortable and live my life without feeling like im hiding. I have several decaying teeth that only means that they will soon be gone. I have stained teeth and also a chipped front tooth. This situation is depressing and if anyone was in my boat they would probably feel the same way. I never went to my prom, never took school pics, i dont take pics for my family at all because i rather save myself the embarrassment. Being that im focusing on starting college life now this could be a brand new start for me so PLEASE help my smile!!

But since I am all grown up I just can’t make my teeth pure white it is yellow with brown. I got one wisdom tooth and one coming in but it doesn’t bother me. Hi my name is Connie. I am 39 years old and I’ve had no teeth for a year and a half. I’ve had a denture done, top and bottom, but they are not fitting properly. I’ve had adjustments made and re-lines done, but this only made it worse. I’ve had two sets made so far, both of which I am not happy with. They do not stay in my mouth. I know how a denture should feel, and these are not right. I went to another doctor and they said that I deserve a new one, but they aren’t working with me. I am currently disabled and on SSI. I do not have the cash to buy another set. So now I’m left with no teeth that fit me which is really taking a toll on me. I do not like the way I look and it’s causing my depression to worsen. I’m afraid of having a nervous breakdown if this problem doesn’t get resolved. It’s all I can think about and the obsession is driving me and my family nuts. It seems no one understands what I’m going through. I know if I won this contest it would change my whole life and I could be happy again. If I’m lucky enough to win this, I would like to have a new set of dentures implanted into my mouth. Hello my name is Melissa and I am 23. I have horrible teeth. My teeth are withering away fast. I have no hope for my teeth and i dont like to talk about them to anybody. It has gotten to the point were I dont wanna look at them. I HATE my teeth. When i was 17 i had a medical card and i was getting them worked on at a local Health Department. The pulled one of my back teeth and filled them. But my front teeth needed the most work. From when i was 7-9 I got a non-permanent filling on one of my front teeth and it was discolored and never got fixed. The nurse at the health department told me that they didnt wann fix my front teeth yet becouse they wanted me to come back. Well a few months after that appointment my father passed due to Cancer. I had alot of problems moving and trying to find a place to go and greiving for my father. Well I then turned 18 and no longer had a medical card. When i turned 18 the fornt tooth with the non permanent filling just broke in half. I was MORTIFIED. I cried for 3 days and missed work i didnt want anybody to see I was missing a front tooth. I found a dentist to pull the rest out for $200 that i had to borrow and pay back. The tooth next to that one had already started to decay. Now all of my front teeth are decaying and they look horrible. I do NOT talk about my teeth to anybody. I have been humilated once about them and i felt like nothing. I feel like as my teath get worse and worse my life isnt as long. Once my teeth are completley gone in the front I will no longer ever be happy. I hate the feeling but I cannot help the way I feel. When i meat sombody for the first time i always look at there teeth and wish i atleast had there teeth. I dont care how crooked or discolored atleast there not like mine decaying and missing. If I had one wish in this whole world it would be a new smile. That would change my WHOLE life and the way I look at life in general. I dont have the money to pay for a new smile other wise I would do it. So here I am entering contest at 12:35 p.m so nobody can see what Im doing hoping that one day I can smile in a photo or look at sombody in there face when i talk to them. My teeth used to be sooo beautiful until after years of haveing a eating dirorder has made most of the jaw teeth breqk and needed to be pulled. I have spent alot of years soaking my pain and sorrow of not have childen only dealing with medication. I have entered myself into a recovery progrom where I lived for over 4 months and I then I saw God on day and my whole like has changed for the good. I got married to the man of my dreams that stood beside me through it all ans we married in Hawaii on the beach in2008 . Anyway, my husband always asked me to smile because he likes my smile. Good Evening my name is Ronnette White. I’m in desperate need of a dental make-over. My father use to tell me when he was alive that I had a million dollar smile, unfortunately that’s not the case any more. I am so embarrassed & ashamed when I smile now with my mouth closed because my teeth have fallen out. They break off & I had to have them removed. Most of my teeth that are out are towards the front of my mouth (actually all over my mouth). I have been unable to pay for dental care due to my recently loosing my job in addition to having no income whatsoever to take care of this eye sore. As a result of this my self-esteem is very, very low now. I have to speak often because I speak to women about how to deal with their issues & the public because I’m in ministry so I’m in the front often.

I really need to win this dental makeover as it would allow me to regain that “million dollar smile back & speak confidently to those who I charged to minister to. I’m sure that my self-esteem would definitely be on its way upward again.

God gave me another chance to live after surviving a motorcycle accident that broke over 200 bones in my body. My head got the brunt force of the accident, including my mouth and teeth and jawbones, sinuses, eye, etc. Ineed help in reconstruction of my mouth, so I can chew my food and not choke on it on everything I eat. Any help would be appreciated.

I am 40 years old since I was a child I have had crooked teeth, when I was 13 I fell in gym and broke off half of my two top teeth, the dentist just filled them in but, it was always noticable and looked bad and I was always made fun of, when I was pregnant with my 1st child I saved enough money to have a bridge put in, back then they carved down the eye teeth and cemented the bridge in, after I had this done I noticed my already crooked bottom teeth growing taller and now has made my smile look even worse, so now a single mother of 2 struggling to care for my childrens health issues I get a cavity and have to have a root canal on one of the teeth beside my bridge at the time I started the root canal I was working with a company I had insurance with soon after it was started I was layed off and lost my insurance and was told I would have to pay full price which I could not afford so I have had a half completed root canal for 2 years that has gotten infected twice already, I seen an advertisement for a dental consultation for $19, I jumped on it and went in, I was informed at that time not only did I need to remove the tooth that I started the root canal on which cuts into my already bad smile but, I also had other issues for starters the 2 teeth holding my bridge in are decaying and if I don’t have root canals on them I will lose all my top front teeth but, also the four on bottom that grew like mountains are also needing root canals and are very lose and I will most definitely lose them as well he explained that even with DISCOUNTS I would have to pay $4000, I barely feed my children and keep a roof over our heads, I have no savings, I don’t get child support and even with my part time job that I work in addition to my full time, I still cannot do this. The only thing I can look forward to at this point is losing both top and bottom front teeth. PLEASE HELP ME!

I would like to ad after viewing other stories, how come instead of just one person winning the up to $30.000 makeover you split it between the top 6 candidates $5000.00 a piece, roughly that is the average for major dental work, also there are temporary snap in teeth that are way cheaper than getting implants with would help them budget the $5000 and still walk out with better smiles. Or determine the estimated cost for each of these entries and see if maybe you couldn’t help everyone. I don’t believe anyone on here would be so selfish and want to spend the entire amount getting top notch dental care while watching all others continue to suffer. God Bless.

Hello my name is brittany, I am so insecure about my smile. Im a single mother of two who cant afford dental insurance.. I inharited a gum disease from my mother. I have fought with my teeth my whole life but now they are all rotted and starting to fall out. I dont want to go out in public because of my smile But I force my self to so I can provide for my kids if I win this my life will be better and I can go out in public with confidence. I have hit depression so bad because of it and its causing me to be sick all the time please im begging you help me

Hi, I am a 56 years old woman and I think my teeth will start falling out soon due to gum loss and some of my teeth wiggle and are sensitve to cold and hot beverage’s starting about a week ago. I do not have dental insurance and cannot afford to fix my teeth. I have lost several and now they have shifted and have gaps. I worked as a nurse 20 years and now I am disabled and live on a fixed income due to my health. I would love to be able to smile again and be able to eat steak or the like without my teeth hurting.. I have an over bite and it causes me to bite the inside of my mouth and my tongue at times I pray the Lord answers my prayer’s and lets me have good dental health again. I will leave it in the Lords hands and if I am choosen for this wonderful blessing in my life Praise be to God. I have this fear of all my teeth falling out and not being able to get false teeth.
