The MamaRoo Bouncer is the ultimate bouncer for developing the geek in your new baby. Begone, days of bouncers that only bounce! The MamaRoo’s seat moves up and down and side to side, just like a real Mama! Programmed into the seat are five movement modes: car ride, kangaroo, tree swing, rock-a-bye, and ocean. The seat can recline for napping or be more upright for play. The LCD display makes operating your MamaRoo a breeze.
MamaRoo Bouncer Review : The 4moms mamaRoo isn’t just another infant seat. It moves just like you do ! Featuring five unique motions (kangaroo, car ride, tree swing, rock-a-bye and ocean wave), the mamaRoo bounces up and down and sways from side to side, just like parents do when comforting their babies.
The mamaRoo is very easy to operate. All controls are located on the front (on the base) and are really simple. My 4 year old daughter even figured out how to use it by herself. There are 5 built-in nature sounds (rain, crickets, ocean waves, etc…) but it would have been nice if they included at least 1 lullaby. On the other hand, you can connect any MP3 player to the mamaRoo and play any songs you want. It also features a mobile that includes three toys by classical artists. It might just be a personal point-of-view but I found these toys were not as nice/attractive as the mamaRoo itself. Some people will like the plug-in option because you won’t have to spend extra money on batteries (like most baby swings) but some people might wish for a battery option for more freedom. The seat reclines to any position along its axis (from a 49 degree angle to a 33 degree angle) and you can easily remove the fabric for washing purpose. The weight limit is set at 25 lbs. My daughter (32 lbs) uses it and the motor seems strong enough to support her weight but it might affect it in a long term use.
Even is the mamaRoo is kind of expensive ($199,99), it’s still a great alternative to battery-eating swings. Remember those same swings won’t have as much features as the mamaRoo has !
So yes, yes to the mamaRoo, because it is an awesome product.
