Review

If you are like me, you are a music lover. I just love to listen to music all day long. I spend most of the day in my home office so I’m listening to music from my computer via desktop speakers. At evening, I often tune in to the radio using my home theater system in the living room. But what about the other rooms? How am I supposed to listen to my favorite songs in my bedroom, kitchen or even outside? This is where portable Bluetooth speakers come in handy!

Portable Bluetooth speakers are those little wireless speakers we now see everywhere in stores and online. You can get small  ones, big ones. You can get cheap ones or pricy ones. If you have a look at all Bluetooth speakers on the market, you’ll probably find the one that perfectly suit your needs.

But today, let me introduce you the RoverBeats T3 Bluetooth Speaker, a portable and rechargeable Bluetooth speaker from Etekcity.

What’s In The Box

In the box, you will find, or course, the T3 speaker but you will also find a 3.5mm audio cable, a carrying pouch (which is useful to carry your speaker safely and protect your speaker from the dust) and a USB charging cable. Unfortunately, there’s no AC Adapter included which would have been useful to keep listening to your favorite music while charging.

Design

The RoverBeats T3 definitely looks great! It’s available in two colors (Black/White) and it has two “stainless steel” strips around it which gives it an attractive look.

Connectivity

You can easily pair the speaker with any device that support a Bluetooth 2.1 connection to enjoy your music, no matter if it’s a smartphone, tablet or mp3 player. I tested it with Android devices (Nexus 5, ZTE Grand X) as well as Apple devices (iPod and iPhone4) without any connection problems. You won’t have to leave your device next to the speaker in order to get it to work as you can easily move about 25-30 feet away from the speaker without any lost connections.

Those who don’t have a device with Bluetooth connection will still have the chance to use the T3 speaker, thanks to the AUX port and the 3.5mm audio cable included.

Performance

The sound quality is fair for a speaker of this size. It sounds better a low volumes as it will distort a little at higher volumes. There’s some bass but just not enough for me.

As for battery life, I was able to listen to music for about 5 hours over the course of 4 days which is pretty good as you’ll probably have to charge your smartphone 3-4 times over the same period anyway…
Of course, the battery life depend on how you use the speaker.

Price

The T3 is priced at $22.99, which is a great price for this kind/size of Bluetooth speaker, but you can even find it under $20 on Amazon. I don’t think you can beat that price for similar speakers.

Conclusion

The RoverBeats T3 Bluetooth Speaker is perfect for those who are looking to have fun on a budget with a small and portable Bluetooth speaker that sounds good for its size.
