Guitar Center Your Next Record Contest

Eligibility : The Guitar Center Your Next Record Contest is open only to natural persons who are legal residents of the contiguous 48 states of the U.S. and the District of Columbia who (i) at the time of entry submission have attained the age of majority in the jurisdiction where they reside, (ii) from the time of entry through the termination of the Contest Period are not obligated under a recording, publishing or management agreement, and (iii) must not have received gross earnings in excess of $100,000 for the prior tax year from their professional  musical activities (including any teaching or instruction of music), in the aggregate (per Entrant whether a group or individually), as evidenced in last year’s federal tax returns.  Any Entrant that is a musical group may not consist of more than seven (7) members.

Promotion Period : The Guitar Center Your Next Record Contest begins at 12:00:01 P.M. Central Standard Time (CST) on February 1, 2010 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST) on April 30, 2010 (the “Contest Period”).

How To Enter : Entries to the Contest must be submitted via the online form made available on this website yournextrecord.com (the “Site”) prior the expiration of the applicable entry period.

Limit : Only one Entry will be accepted from each Entrant.

Prize (s):

GRAND PRIZE:  The Winner will receive the following:

(i)              A trip to Los Angeles, CA (the “Trip”) to record a three (3) song demo recording with top producer Mike Clink.  The Trip will include coach airfare from nearest metropolitan airport for the Winner (Winner not to exceed seven (7) members); double occupancy hotel accomodations; not more than ten (10) days (including studio production and recording time).  The approximate retail value of this prize is $20,000.

(ii)             Slash will pick/write, perform and record on (1) one of the foregoing songs (the “Single”).  The approximate retail value of this prize is indeterminable.

(iii)            A Guitar Center Shopping Spree worth Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000).  The approximate retail value of this prize is $10,000.

(iv)           Endorsement deals and $10,000 worth of Ernie Ball/Music Man equipment.  The approximate retail value of this prize is $10,000.

(v)            The Entrant will get an opening slot to appear and perform at the concert event currently referred to as “Slash’s Monster Energy Bash” (tenantively scheduled for August 2010) (the “Concert”).  The approximate retail value of this prize is indeterminable.

(vi)           A feature in Guitar World magazine. The approximate retail value of this prize is indeterminable.

(vii)          The Single will be featured on iTunes. The approximate retail value of this prize is indeterminable.

(viii)         A management development deal with “The Collective”. The approximate retail value of this prize is indeterminable.
The approximate aggregate retail value of the Grand Prize is $40,000.

Winners : To obtain a copy of any legally required winners list, send a self-addressed stamped envelope (except for residents of Vermont, who do not have to provide postage) to Administrator at the address set forth below.   All such requests must be received within four (4) weeks after the end of the Contest. The Winner’s name will also be posted on the Site after a Winner is named, on our about June 15, 2010.
