AFV Dream Vacation Sweepstakes
Eligibility : AFV Dream Vacation Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 13 years of age or older. Void in Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and other U.S. Territories, and where prohibited or restricted by law.
Promotion Period : The AFV Dream Vacation Sweepstakes begins 7:00pm EDT on March 29, 2009 and ends 11:59am EDT on April 6, 2009.
How To Enter : To enter, navigate the Internet and visit afv.abc.com, and click on the link that will take you to the AFV Sweepstakes home page. You must be a registered member of ABC.com to enter or you may become a member. Registration is free and only required once. After signing in or registering (as appropriate), send your entry by clicking the submit button on the Sweepstakes page.
Limit : Limit one entry per person registered with ABC.com for the Sweepstakes.
Prize (s):
One (1) Disney Vacation Club Getaways Sampler (“Sampler”) will be awarded. The Sampler is a non-transferable vacation contract (the “Contract”) with Disney Vacation Club. The Contract entitles the recipient to the use of 235 Vacation Points per year (the “Vacation Point Allotment”) for three (3) years. The Contract and the right to the use of the Vacation Point Allotment terminate two (2) years and 364 days after the date the Contract is executed (the “Contract Term”).
In accordance with the Contract, the Vacation Point Allotment may be used by the winner to reserve vacation accommodations at Disney Vacation Club Resorts or vacation accommodations available through the Disney Vacation Club Member Getaways program. The number of Vacation Points required for any specific accommodations is based upon the resort, the length of stay, the type of accommodations, and the season. For example, the winner can use the first year’s Vacation Point Allotment of 235 Vacation Points for a seven (7) night stay in a savanna view one-bedroom vacation villa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas during the Dream Season, and the second year’s Vacation Point Allotment of 235 Vacation Points for a five (5) night stay in a two-bedroom vacation villa at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort during the Premier Season, and the third year’s Vacation Point Allotment of 235 Vacation Points for a seven (7) night stay in a standard view one-bedroom vacation villa at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas during the Magic season. The number of Vacation Points required for any specific accommodations are subject to change.
The winner will receive three Vacation Point Allotments; the first within 4 to 6 weeks of the Sweepstakes prize notification, (“Award Date”), the second on the first anniversary of the Award Date and the third on the second anniversary of the Award Date. The first two Vacation Point Allotments can be used for accommodations occurring within twelve (12) months after the winner receives the Vacation Point Allotment and the last Vacation Point Allotment can be used for accommodations occurring within three hundred sixty four (364) days after the winner receives the last Vacation Point Allotment. Any portion of a Vacation Point Allotment not used within the applicable time shall automatically expire. All accommodations are subject to availability and reservation policies. Blackout dates and other restrictions may apply.
The Disney Vacation Club Resorts, including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, are leasehold condominium time-share resorts developed by Disney Vacation Development, Inc. (the “Developer”) and managed and operated by Disney Vacation Club Management Corp., wholly-owned, indirect subsidiaries of The Walt Disney Company. Vacation Points are symbolic units of measurement used to represent a time-share owner’s real estate interest in a Disney Vacation Club Resort and have no inherent value separate and apart from the real estate interest the Vacation Points represent. The Vacation Point Allotments granted to the winner derive from and are representative of real estate interests in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas retained by the Developer. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas is located at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The winner will not receive any real estate interest in any Disney Vacation Club Resort and will not become a member of Disney Vacation Club.
The estimated retail value of the prize for the Sampler is US$19,900 which includes (i) the estimated retail value of the accommodations that can be reserved and used by the winner of US$12,800; (ii) the estimated retail value of exchange fees of US$100, and (iii) a cash prize equal to US$7,000 to help defray payment of any taxes payable as a result of winning the prize. All benefits and payments are personal to the winner and are not redeemable for cash and neither assignable nor transferable. All values are in U.S. Dollars.
Winners : For the name of the prize winner, available after April 15, 2009, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: AFV Walt Disney Sweepstakes (#3) Winner, c/o LD Marketing Group, 159 West 25th Street, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10011. Requests received after May 30, 2009 will not be honored.
