IGN’s District 9 VIP Access Sweepstakes

Eligibility : ENTRANTS (EACH, AN “ENTRANT”) MUST BE MALES BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18 AND 24, WHO ARE RESIDENTS OF  THE 50 UNITED STATES OR WASHINGTON, D.C, AND WHO, IF DECLARED THE WINNER, ARE (I) AVAILABLE TO TRAVEL TO SAN DIEGO FROM JULY 23 – 26, 2009, (II) AGREE TO PARTICIPATE IN AND COMPLETE THE “IGN SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT” ASSIGNMENT DESCRIBED IN SECTION 5 OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, (III) AGREE TO GRANT TO SPONSOR AND ITS AUTHORIZED LICENSEE, COLUMBIA TRISTAR MARKETING GROUP, INC. (“CTMG”) THE RIGHT AND LICENSE, BUT NOT THE OBLIGATION, TO USE THE RESULTS AND PROCEEDS OF WINNER’S PARTICIPATION IN THAT ASSIGNMENT (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE WINNER’S NAME, LIKENESS, VOICE, RECORDED PERFORMANCE AND ANY RESULTING WRITTEN OR OTHER WORKS) TO PROMOTE THIS SWEEPSTAKES AND/OR THE MOVIE ENTITLED “DISTRICT 9” WORLDWIDE IN PERPETUITY IN ANY MEDIA OR MANNER NOW KNOWN OR HEREINAFTER DEVISED, AS MORE SPECIFICALLY SET FORTH IN THE PRIZE DOCUMENTS (DEFINED BELOW); AND (IV) AGREE TO SUBJECT THEMSELVES TO A BACKGROUND CHECK (NECESSITATED BY PARTICIPATION IN THE ASSIGNMENT).

Promotion Period : IGN’s District 9 VIP Access Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) begins on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 12:01 PM PST (“Start Date”) and ends on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 11:59 AM PST (“Sweepstakes Period”).

How To Enter : Visit the website during the Sweepstakes Period by logging on to microsites.ign.com/d9 .  Follow the on-screen instructions and complete the entry form by providing all of the information requested.  Once the form is completed, Entrant must click the “Submit” button to receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes.

Limit : Limit one (1) entry per person and/or email address for the duration of the Sweepstakes Period.

Prize (s):

One (1) Grand Prize is available.  The Grand Prize consists of a 3-day /2-night trip (“Trip”) for the winner and a guest (18 or older) to attend Comic-Con International 2009 (the “Event”), the designation of the winner as an “IGN Special Correspondent,” and the granting to the winner of an opportunity to participate in a DISTRICT 9-themed journalistic assignment trailing Sponsor’s editorial team covering portions of the Event related to DISTRICT 9 (the “Assignment”). The Assignment may also include the opportunity for winner to meet and greet with talent and/or filmmakers associated with the DISTRICT 9 film, subject to availability. The Trip will consist of the following: (a.) round-trip coach class air transportation for two persons from a major airport nearest winner’s residence to San Diego, CA; (b.) two (2) nights hotel accommodations (one standard double occupancy room, room & tax only); and (c.)  two (2) weekend passes to attend the Event .  Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Grand Prize:  $1,500.

Winners : For the list of prize winners or a copy of the official rules, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to:  “IGN’s District 9 VIP Access Sweepstakes” Winner’s List or Rules, 100 E. Pine Street, Suite 201, Orlando, FL 32801 (VT residents may omit return postage) by September 30, 2009.
